David Kauffman, after seeing the town from a rail stop in Nampa around 1898, chose to return with his wife, Anna Yoder, in 1900.
In the early 1920's, Mr. Kauffman built a tourist park of 4 small cabins on the Caldwell Blvd., giving people an additional place to stay in Nampa.
