Nampa Harvest Festival 1911-1937
The Harvest Festival was a popular annual event where the community came together displaying booths of grain, fruits and vegetables. People set-up refreshment stands and held a barbecue. Musical entertainment with band concerts dances, plus theatrical performances, foot races and other activities drew large crowds to Nampa. Some years there were carnival rides, horse shows, a street dance, kicked off by a big parade.
The festival's inaugural year was held in August of 1911, and continued each year through 1937.
