Description

Ernie Starr was the mayor of Nampa for twenty years, from 1961 to 1981, and afterward continued to serve on the city council. He shares some of his experiences as mayor, as well as jobs he worked prior to entering politics. Starr recalls watching Nampa grow from a farming and railroad town to a place of industry, which he attributes to developments such as city-wide sewer lines.
