Ben Waigand served two terms as Nampa’s mayor, and was one of the youngest mayors in the country at the time. He came to Nampa with his family at a young age and recalls many notable events and people from over the decades, such as witnessing the 1909 fire, the smuggling of whiskey during the prohibition, and important Nampa figures like Dr. Kellogg and Colonel Dewey.
