Description

The Nampa Fire Department was formed as a volunteer organization with purchase of "chemical fire engine" in 1892. The Holloway was a horse-drawn fire wagon with a 50-gallon chemical capacity.

The City of Nampa Fire Department was formed in 1911, with Chief E. R. Campbell listed as the first paid fire chief.
