In the 1940s, the Countryman's Club began hosting Farm-City nights with a Farm-City Day Parade. The fed barbecues up to 5,000 people during the August festival.
The profits of the events supported the 4H camp on Lake Cascade; Nampa City parks; FFA, and other community charities and institutions.
